How to buy Office
Send us the number of users, your company name (it's printed on the license) and your administrator's email. You pay once and we don't keep a card on file. Your license file arrives by email within one business day, with three steps to add it.
Adding people later is a new purchase against the same license, and you get a replacement file that covers the new total. Thirty days before your updates end, we email you a renewal link. Nothing is charged automatically.

When the trial ends, nothing is deleted or locked away. Everyone can still open and export every drawing and markup. Sharing new work through the server pauses until you add a license.

Is the free version really free for business use?
Yes. One person can use every tool for paid work, for as long as they like. There's no account and no ads.
What's the catch?
Free is for one person working alone. When your office wants shared projects, live markups and one tool chest for everyone, that's Office.
Is Office a subscription?
No. You buy it once per user. The first year of updates is included. After that, updates are $100 per user per year, and optional.
What happens if I stop paying for updates?
Everything keeps working on the version you have, forever. You just don't get versions released after your updates end.
Can I try Office first?
Yes. You get 30 days with every feature, for any number of users, and you don't need a card.
What happens when the trial ends?

How are users counted?
Each person with an account on your office server counts as one user. Someone using the free app without signing in to your server doesn't count.
Where are my drawings stored?
On your own computers and your own office server. We never receive your drawings, markups, takeoffs or tool chests.
Does the app connect to the internet?
It checks our public release page for new versions, and that check sends nothing about your company. Claude features connect only if you set up Claude yourself. Sealed turns both off. Every connection, listed.
Can I use the drawings and tool chests I already have?
Yes. It opens PDFs with their existing markups in place, and it imports .bpx and .btx tool chests with their tools, columns and unit weights.
Do I need Claude?
No. Claude features are optional and use your own Claude plan.
Mac?
Windows today. Mac is planned.
Is it open source?
We plan to publish the free app's source code. The office server is commercial.
We do defense work. Does this make us compliant?
No software makes you compliant on its own. Excalibur View keeps drawings inside your own network, which helps you meet your NIST SP 800-171 obligations. For a locked-down setup, ask about Sealed.
