What I’ve built

Real software, running real companies. Every one of these runs on the owner's own server. Screenshots are the real programs. Job names and dollar figures are changed, so nobody's actual work is shown.

How a custom setup works
Arc Valley's dashboard: open bids, active jobs, open RFIs and submittals, bids in progress and active jobs. Job names changed.

Arc Valley Construction

Live, running their jobs

A general contractor's whole company, in one app

Where they were. Jobs ran on email, spreadsheets, shared folders and phone calls. A submittal could sit with an architect for two weeks and nobody would know until it held up the job.

What I built. One app, on their own server, that runs the job from bid to closeout: bids and invites, drawings and specs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, punch lists and subcontracts. Their subs, architects and engineers get their own portal to answer RFIs, send submittals and sign contracts, and each one only ever sees their own work. Reminders go out by themselves when something sits too long, and Arc Valley decides how often.

How it fits together. Their drawings show up in Excalibur View for markup and takeoff, contracts can be signed in the app or dropped in signed, and every change is on the record: who did what, and when.

Drawings, markup and takeoff

Open a set, measure off it at the drawn scale, and get a cut list and tonnage that trace back to what you clicked. It opens the detailer's model in 3D too. Windows, Mac and Linux. Free for one person, and Office puts the rest of the shop on the same set.

Fabwire

In use at Mesa Fab

The shop office system for steel fabricators

Bids and proposals, jobs and budgets, POs, material received, QC logs, transmittals and billing, in one desktop program running off your own server. It's what Mesa Fab's office runs on.

With tester shops now

Steel detailing

A steel detailer built from the geometry up. Model the steel, and it numbers the pieces, draws the shop and erection drawings, and writes the NC and DXF files the shop cuts from. It opens Tekla's IFC models too. A few detailing shops are testing it now, each with its own license.

Excalibur Citadel

Priced per setup, ask me

What I build each general contractor's software on

Citadel isn't a boxed program. It's the base I start from when I build a GC their own setup: bids, drawings and specs, RFIs, submittals, dailies, punch lists, contracts and a portal for the subs. Then I change it to fit how that office runs, and it goes on their server.
